All of the videos we use are sourced from videos already on YouTube. They are 100% real and not intentionally taken out of any context or misrepresent what the original videos may have presented. Dec 5, 2022

It doesn’t matter if Phil Anselmo is racist.

“No flak. Why is there flak?”

“People are stupid. People are idiots.”

“There you go.”

Pantera fans who don’t want to see the band get back together are largely misunderstood. At some point somebody should explain. There are some people like Charlie Benante (in the video above) who would have you believe that people who don’t like the idea of this tour are “stupid”. Not his word, but he agreed to that assessment when mentioned by somebody else. Many true Pantera fans feel this is an unfair characterization. There are many reasons some people are not happy to see this reunion. These are not listed in any order of importance. All of the reasons some Pantera fans might want to see the tour can’t possibly all be listed here either. If you haven’t been following the band and you don’t understand what all the negativity towards this ‘reunion’ is about, this is a good place to start. Yes, we will get to the Phil Anselmo Nazi and White Power subject because there’s much more there than anybody has talked about. You might be surprised that Phil’s association with yelling “white power” and doing Nazi salutes is just one of many reasons real Pantera fans may not be excited about this tour.

*****VINNIE PAUL*****

The Vinnie Paul estate just recently went through the auctioning of Vinnie’s possessions and the selling of Vinnie’s home. Right after the sale of the home, it was demolished. Those things are unfortunate and sadly, acceptable. However, throwing this Pantera reunion on top of that when he gave so many interviews saying that there would never be a Pantera reunion seems to lack any class or dignity. The Vinnie Paul Estate appears to be in full sellout mode. Vinnie said there was never going to be a Pantera reunion without Dime so many times, he seemed to get a bit miffed over being asked about it.

“People Really Have To Come To Grips With The Fact That PANTERA Is Over”

https://blabbermouth.net/news/vinnie-paul-people-really-have-to-come-to-grips-with-the-fact-that-pantera-is-over

Here’s What Vinnie Paul Had to Say About Pantera Reunion Before His Death

https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/heres_what_vinnie_paul_had_to_say_about_pantera_reunion_before_his_death.html

Many more like that are out there if you search for them.

Seeing Vinnie’s empire evaporate and his wishes reversed so quickly after his death is enough to turn some people away from this ‘reunion’. It’s hard to believe that Charlie Benante and all of his wisdom and social media savvy has not seen any of these Vinnie Paul interviews. I think most of the people that Charlie agrees are ‘stupid’ would really like to hear from Charlie about how it’s okay to take Vinnie’s place in a band that Vinnie said will never reform due to his brother’s death. A band that Vinnie said can never be without Dime. Many people feel that Charlie Benante is fucking over his dead friend for money and fame. Some people may not want to hear another word or see a picture on his social media apparently capitalizing on Vinnie’s fame and death unless it’s about how he personally justify doing this. We got a little from Charlie but where are the hard questions? That’s jolly good that Phil and Rex only wanted Charlie but is that a legitimate presentation of the facts? Or, is Charlie so lacking in heart and integrity that they knew he would go for it? Would they have told Charlie if he were third choice? Is Charlie trying to tell us that this tour wouldn’t have happened unless he signed on? Right. How about addressing the fact that Vinnie said over and over “No Dime no Pantera”?

It really should be nobody’s business who owns Vinnie’s estate now and what they do but it is not easy for fans of Pantera to know that the people who own the bulk of Vinnie’s estate and are handling Pantera business are not only going back on what Vinnie said so quickly after his death, they were/are not married or blood related to Vinnie and were probably too young to ever see Pantera. They too must know about Vinnie’s feelings on a Pantera tour. It doesn’t make it easier that there has been no statement from the Vinnie Paul estate about Vinnie saying there will never be a Pantera without Dime. They are treating it like these things were never said. It’s one thing to ask people to look past that. It’s quite another to proclaim ‘this is a tribute to the brothers’ or ‘this is a celebration of the brothers’, and “the brothers would want this” without some people thinking that is just distasteful and morbid and wrong. It doesn’t make them stupid Charlie, it just means they have a soul.

*****CALLING IT PANTERA*****

There had been rumors of Pantera reforming over the years, even when Vinnie was alive. Apparently, and until recently, in each and every interview with Vinnie, Rex, or Phil they all said even if they ever did get back together it wouldn’t be called “Pantera”. Over and over and over. It was just nice to hear everyone respect Darrell’s memory that way. Now it comes down that they ARE calling it “Pantera” it just reeks of sellout to people. Not a fact, but without any other announcement or explanation Pantera fans are left to assume the people backing this tour told them that it’s all off unless they use the name Pantera. Presumably nobody is going to dump a lot of money into this without the iconic name being attached. So now Vinnie is dead his wishes apparently brushed aside and the two guys who are alive are going back on their word and selling out the Pantera name for the money, in the opinion of many, because Vinnie is dead and can’t do anything about it. Remember, Vinnie and Dime started Pantera and invited Phil and Rex in. It doesn’t make the fans stupid, some people just don’t like to hear about their dead heroes being disrespected like that.

*****PHILIP H ANSELMO UNDERSTANDS HE IS HIGHLY INFLUENTIAL FROM THE STAGE*****

It’s important to point out that Phil knows he has heavy influence on people in his concert audience. After seeing and hearing this clip, one might argue Phil believes he has not only influence but COMPLETE CONTROL over what people in the audience should think and do. This is important.

*****PHILIP H ANSELMO AND NAZI SALUTES AND YELLING WHITE POWER AND RACISM*****

Let us get the old videos out of the way:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHdYLg4itCQ

A lot of comments on social media on these videos use these clips of proof he is not racist. “SEE HE SAID HE HAS FRIENDS OF EVERY COLOR”. Stop it. Funny how Phil says he’s 100% white there, but on the apology tour he says he’s Sicilian like he is part of some kind of minority. Liars will usually shift polarity in lies, you just have to chose to see it. Some people hear Phil likes everyone. Other people are hearing that rap concerts are full of black people who hate white people and so on.

Many people got introduced to Phil from his clip from Dimebash. Here it is:

Doing a Nazi Salute and screaming “white power” is not acceptable behavior. It’s not hip. It’s not pushing the envelope. It’s plain shite. He is apparently championing white power as loud and as clearly as he possibly can. Take a second and remember that Phil thinks he has supreme control over his audience. Together that is unbelievably toxic. Phil seems to be just fine just leaving the stage with a Nazi salute and screaming ‘white power’ being his final message.

It seems Charlie Benante has somehow justified or gotten past this Nazi salute and declaration of White Power as a joke or maybe he thinks it’s not a joke and that’s really Phil but he still wants to get paid for a Pantera tour. Maybe Charlie is actually just okay with Phil’s performance at Dimebash. This was a memorial concert for a dead man who everyone in that room loved. Everyone was there to remember Dime and the good times but Phil wasn’t having a good time so he made it all about him. Not only did he make it about him, he tried his hardest to ruin the memorial concert for everybody. The disrespect Phil showed Darrell at Darrell’s MEMORIAL CONCERT was inexcusable to many. My friends and I have never seen or heard Phil address the disrespect he showed Darrell’s memory that night, and as you can see, we pay attention.

We might never know how things unfolded for Philip personally after that Dimebash, but most likely that somebody around him who is not a Nazi or on heroin told him that what happened was really bad and he should address it right away. Here comes the first comment from Phil:

“Ok folks, I’ll own this one, but dammit, I was joking, and the ‘inside joke of the night’ was because we were drinking fucking white wine. Some of y’all need to thicken up your skin. There’s plenty of fuckers to pick on with a more realistic agenda. I fucking love everyone, I fucking loathe everyone, and that’s that. No apologies from me.”

Not much needs to be said about that. He quite clearly stated that he wasn’t apologising. Has any one asked Phil what his agenda actually is that he is referring to? If you can’t understand what’s wrong with that entire response, at least acknowledge that it got taken down more quickly that it was posted (more on white wine in the Rita Haney chapter coming up). Whoever made Philip do this next communication about the event needs to be commended because he probably didn’t like it one bit:

To most, this seems like a true apology. Phil sounds sincere. Except for some of us who burst out in laughter when he signed off with “bless you”. Anybody who follows Phil knows right well he is an atheist. As a matter of fact, A STAUNCH ATHEIST (click here). Because of that signal, this was thought of by many as not only an insincere apology, but a huge middle finger to anybody expecting a real apology. THAT is the real message, in the opinion of many who have become familiar with Philip over the years. Even if you don’t know Phil’s history and apparent tendencies, the absolute reverse in polarity from his first reaction alone should be enough to know something is not up to snuff with that apology. Again, this is the just opinion of some people who have been paying attention.

Phil apparently proved us all right just a couple of years later in this Kerrang interview:

Do you feel the Dimebash controversy is something you’ve moved past?

“I feel like it’s ridiculous. I made an off-colour joke and ‘Boom!’ – it’s like I’m literally Hitler! I’m not.”

Huge shift in tone there from the weepy almost self loathing in disappointment apology video. He no longer sounds apologetic at all, rather sounding like a victim. It just seems like he knows he got away with one there and can go back to his regularly scheduled program. Many Pantera fans feel they have been let down by Phil time, and time, and time, and time again.

Rob Flynn’s reaction to Phil Anselmo’s Nazi-white power outburst:

Respect to Robb Flynn. I think people may be surprised at just how many Pantera fans celebrated this video. Philip Anselmo and Rita Haney would later accuse Robb Flynn of attention seeking. Rita even claimed that Robb was “butt hurt” and that if this happened with Darrell on stage, Darrell would “Speak to Philip man to man” but Darrell was on stage for more Philip “sieg heils” and “white power” than anybody else save Rex Brown and Vinnie Paul (more on that coming). It was nice for a while for the fans to feel like they had somebody so close to Darrell and still active in the scene, but it’s hard for some to want to hear from Rita after that. Robb Flynn’s work, joy, legacy, passion, and more is writing and playing music. It’s his life’s work. It’s what everybody knows him for and he’s worked a lifetime to build what he has. It’s not for ANYBODY to decide how he reacts when Philip sieg heils and screams ‘white power’ on stage right in front of him. Robb has every right to set the record straight any way he chooses. When a sieg heil gets put on public display, there are no rules anymore. For Philip to think he can dictate how people react is just mind-staggering.

Just in case anybody doubts the seriousness of doing this kind of salute in public. From Wiki:

Use of this salute is illegal in modern-day Germany (Strafgesetzbuch section 86a) and Austria (Verbotsgesetz 1947), and is also considered a criminal offence in modern-day Poland[6] and Slovakia.[6] The use of any Nazi phrases associated with the salute is also forbidden.[7] In Italy, it is a criminal offence only if used with the intent to “reinstate the defunct National Fascist Party“, or to exalt or promote its ideology or members.[8] In Canada and most of Europe (including the Czech Republic,[9]France, the Netherlands, Sweden,[6]Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, and Russia), displaying the salute is not in itself a criminal offence, but constitutes hate speech if used for propagating the Nazi ideology.[10][11][6]

Fast forward to the Phil ‘apology’ tour and promoting the next record. Going on Eddie Trunk was of great importance. Eddie Trunk is a name in the business. Well spoken, very knowledgeable about metal. Philip should have prepared heavily for this interview because the show in in heavy circulation. SiriusXM. This was the one to set the record straight. Philip has had all the time in the world to prepare responses and evaluate how prior apologies or explanations went. A friend once described this interview to me as “Spinal Tap meets Black Mirror”. Spot on. Go to 19:50

20:31 Eddie Trunk “the backlash that ensued when you were accused of saying white power and raising your hand like that”?

21:25 “I was at a gig for my murdered guitar player”

Many didn’t have to wait for a ‘bless you’ at the end to know they were about to hear one farce of an interview. Eddie was not able to talk like Philip DID something, he was only ‘accused’. Then Philip breaks out with his murdered guitar player? The choice of words seems to be bizarre for somebody trying to come off as sincere. Philip still talking like everything is about him, and he’s a victim. Many Pantera fans have yet to see Phil comment at all on where and when he did it, only what he did. Philip goes on to tell us he was reacting to hecklers. Philip said he would break the jaws of the hecklers if they came on stage when invited. Somehow it seems to much of a task for Philip’s mind to connect ‘I want to break people’s jaws for calling me racist’ with ‘people want to break my jaw for doing racist things’. Many people think if only those two thoughts could connect, maybe a light bulb would turn on and the apparent circle of violent threats in Phil’s mind can cease. Phil had to be around 50 years old in that interview. He’s talking about breaking people’s jaws? Threatening people with violence again?

Then Phil says ‘peers’ is Eddie’s word making sure everybody knows Phil thinks he is above all of his detractors who weren’t down with his Nazi Salute and yelling of White Power and that these people need to look in the mirror themselves. Phil again, not taking responsibility now but giving a loose version of ‘I’m not the only one’. Phil goes on to say people just don’t know how serious it is to call somebody a racist. Again. Bizarre. Where does this leave him doing Nazi salutes and yelling white power? That’s not serious? There just seems to be a huge disconnect.

25:20 I think Philip is trying to tell us that he can’t be racist because he kisses black men on the lips? What.

25:42 After an unexplained absence… white wine returns!

Philip then begins his thoughts on Robb Flynn.

26:30 Philip: “He uhhhh Everybody in my camp and everyone around us, everyone of uhhh anybody who’s ever watched huuuugghhhhhhh Robert over the years knows….. that he watches me…… and watches me…. and watches me, and sits in a corner…….. an watches me……… and then when we get on stage together…………. ah ey….. you know what it all comes down to…. ah ahn ahhnn ahnn straight up he just it’s it’s he wants it’s he to ride the coattails jack, he wants to ride the coattails… … and ahhhggggghhh man ohhhhh….”

Message to the youth: say no to drugs. The long term effects can be staggering.

Philip seems to get angry when Eddie can’t follow Phil on this broken down jumble of words that Phil may have rehearsed in the mirror then imploded at game time. Philip claims Robb made his video because his ego was hurt. Philip STILL ignorant and apparently doesn’t know the seriousness of sieg heiling. And again, Phil thinking he can sit in judgement of how Robb reacted is difficult to understand.

29:00 I think Philip is trying to explain that he can’t be racist because he has donated money to a gym that was run by a minority owner? Furthermore he talked to this black guy on the phone….? This guy mentioned Phil on TV so, what, Phil can’t be racist?

31:15 I think Philip is trying to explain that he can’t be racist because he grew up in the French Quarter? Because gay people came to his house and his mother dated outside her race? It’s possible to be racist BECAUSE of these things too. What Philip is offering is not proof. It’s hard to fathom the level of thinking by somebody who thinks this IS proof he is not racist.

32:20 Phil is angry. He has had enough of being a victim. Somehow sieg heiling at a memorial concert was the last straw for him and he’s not taking it anymore…..?

33:05 Philip discusses things in his past that people have called “racist”. He talks about a time he went on a rant about a shirt that said “stop black on black crime” which now at almost 50 years old, he says he understands but seemingly dismisses anything he said because he was in his 20’s. No admission to any wrongdoing though…..? He apparently blames it on his upbringing… the upbringing he just said clears him or any racism or anything like that? What.

34:15 Eddie Trunk “…the really interesting thing about all of this is that you were provoked into this. That you had people in the front of that stage that night that were trying to get a rise out of you, that were trying to pull you into this is what you are saying”

Philip H Anselmo of Housecore Records “That is exactly what I’m saying”. What? Back to being provoked? Seriously? Excuses excuses excuses.

35:00 Is Philip saying he can’t be racist because he has “brown Sicilian eyes”………? A far cry from old videos where he claims to be 100% white.

Please finish the video. Eddie and Phil start to go off on “pounce society”. Phil torches Scott Ian because Scott (Jewish) was upset over Dimebash in an email to Phil and recommended he make a donation to a Jewish charity. Phil said he made the donation immediately, and apparently was really mad that Scott didn’t thank Philip publicly. Just speaking as a grown up adult here… is dodgy to brag about your donations to charity, and if you are a celebrity and you brag about donations… it’s crass and revealing. In case you thought Phil was making a solid effort here, he called the charity “Nazi hunter Jewish cause or whatever”. Again it’s just bizarre. Apparently Phil was really mad he didn’t get praised by Scott Ian and Phil takes Ian down as far as he can, but by calling it a “Nazi hunter Jewish cause or whatever”, Phil seems to reveal just how seriously he took the donation. He apparently doesn’t even know where it went. I don’t think many people are looking down on Scott Ian for this. Just the opposite. In some areas, Philip just doesn’t seem to get on the level of thinking as many other grown adults do.

The interview goes on and just becomes more bizarre where Eddie and Philip downplay the Nazi Salute and “white power” where it’s almost like they want to believe it didn’t really happen and the people who think it did are ridiculous and wrong. They agree that the people upset about Dimebash have been indoctrinated and not hearing you on purpose. Philip goes on to address “SJW’s” and the like and says “It’s getting old, assholes.” and the irony there is so greatly appreciated. Still without directly calling Philip anything, behavior like this is on the highest level of hypocrisy. The level of surrealism escalates as Philip starts telling a story about “black dudes” who came up to him and told him they know he is cool and not racist, and seem to assure Phil they are sympathetic to him. I’m not sure but I it appears Phil is telling us that all black people think he’s cool and perhaps heroic for enduring all of this silly racist nonsense? Then Phil tells a story about some girl he talked to for a short time without a racist outburst so she thought he wasn’t racist and this clears him of any racist implications? It’s hard to see the point of those stories. There’s just no bridge to reality in those stories. Phil spent a lot of time on stories that were pointless and could have been completely made up. Who prepared Philip for this interview?

Then the story where he says he says a lawyer questioned his use of ‘walk on home boy’ like anybody truly cares about that. Philip puts up a huge defense that there is nothing racial in those lyrics, but who cares? The issue is seig heiling and yelling ‘white power’ at a memorial concert. Phil then tries to jump in the psyche of people hating on him and says it’s that way because it’s so much easier to hate then to love. Right.

Dimebash was a disaster for Phil. An apparent Nazi salute and screaming “White Power” at Dime’s memorial concert. We got it all from Phil in the fallout. White wine, persistent hecklers, being drunk, late night, circumstances were loose because of dark humor backstage. Phil just wants us to know that there were certainly a lot of extenuating circumstances to display such a horrible, despicable act that, quoting Phil here ‘it was ugly, and uncalled for’ and ‘I am 1,000% apologetic’ and ‘you should have taken offense to what I said, and I am so sorry and I hope you just give me another chance’. It almost makes you want to think this was a one time thing and we should all just let it slide. There’s no history there. Or is there?

Please watch the video below and judge for yourself. I’m not going to tell you what is in the video but I will tell you what people told me they have seen. They think they see Philip H. Anselmo ‘sieg heiling’ during concerts in the 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s, and 2010’s. They believe they see and hear Philip H. Anselmo display words and actions associated with racism, antisemitism, and homophobia from the stage with Pantera, Down, Superjoint Ritual, Superjoint, and Philip H Anselmo and the Illegals. They believe they hear and see Phil ask how many Jews are in the room and then say ‘too many’. They think they hear and see Philip H Anselmo mock Black Lives Matter. It is said that there are some homophobic slurs in there too. You be the judge Charlie.

Again, we are not accusing Phil of anything, just pointing out to you Charlie what is out there and why opinions have been formed the way they have. This could all be a misunderstanding and it’s reasonable to think many, many people want to hear from Phil so he can clear all this up. We are trying to show you Charlie, why some people have given up on Phil.

*****WHAT IS PHIL TRYING TO TELL US ABOUT A NEW LEVEL?*****

Phil had been out there doing what really looks like a Nazi salute for years before Pantera’s “Vulgar Display Of Power” came out. Some people have said Philip’s lyrics are sometimes thinly veiled. The lyrics of A New Level can certainly be considered dodgy the first time you read or hear them, considering they are from a man who has been as seen – out there doing what really looks like a Nazi salute for years. Then by merely following on YouTube alone, it seems during A New Level, Phil was at it again with what really looks like Nazi salutes during this particular song more than any other. As time goes on, it seems that Phil has taken to not only doing his Nazi or Nazi like salutes during A New Level, he started saying what sounds like ‘and you know what kind of power’ during the song. I think most people may start to realise what could be going on here but for Philip it doesn’t seem to be clear enough because again, loosely following the timeline via YouTube…. in following tours he sometimes just starts yelling what certainly sounds like ‘white power’ during the song, seemingly to make sure there’s no mistaking what the song is about. That is certainly open to interpretation because Philip is an artist. Charlie if you weren’t aware of this before, this is what stupid Pantera fans have been dealing with. Many feel Philip unnecessarily ruined the best band ever with this rubbish. Whether Philip’s association with Nazis and White Power is real or imagined, we certainly seem to constantly be beaten about the bonce with it. There was no need for any of this ever, and yet there it was time and time again. This video appears to be of Phil and Pantera at concerts leading up to Vulgar Display, and then tours after and A New Level was in their set. All of these clips are already on YouTube. All of our video clips were sourced from public YouTube videos.

*****PHIL’S CHOICE OF SHIRTS*****

Many people feel Philip sends messages of his support to the White Power community with lyrics and stage gestures…. but what about the clothes he wears? Of course we are treading into territory one might call a conspiracy theory. Fair enough. It’s easy to say ‘get fucked, that’s just a band shirt’.

Are you sure though? With Philip’s history? We are not going to link to that site but the url is right there is you want to put in the effort.

Just to be clear, the Antiseen shirt does not have a Swastika. It has the ‘stars and bars’ of the confederate flag. The similarity to the Nazi Eagle is just that. Very similar, that’s all. Not implicating Antiseen, Agnostic Front, or Carnivore in any of this. We are not saying any of these bands are racist in any way at all. Just pointing out Phil’s influence and who takes away what from the signals Phil apparently puts out, intended or not. Sorry to drag those bands into this. Leave them alone. They aren’t responsible for who wears their shirts and how that is perceived.

So Charlie, it’s not news to a lot of Pantera fans that Phil’s messages make it to the White Power community. It’s part of the Anselmo landscape. A landscape we don’t care to see anymore. It doesn’t make us stupid.

*****PEPPER KEENAN*****

This photo was posted on Facebook by Down or a member of Down saying that they are at Phil’s house rehearsing. We are not sure what that Swastika is on the wall. Pepper Keenan acted surprised by Phil’s display at Dimebash.

What Pepper had to say: https://www.facebook.com/pepper.keenan.5/posts/10153551328678264

You can read the whole thing but get the idea from this:

“Any one who knows me is aware that I am not one to dabble much in social media, however due to what transpired last week at Dimebash I feel the need to respond and reach out to friends, family, music peers and fans worldwide.

I am saddened and confused by the behavior of Philip Anselmo last week. I do not condone what was gestured and said. This lapse in judgment of ‘making a joke’ was in terribly poor taste and unacceptable.

That philosophy is the opposite of what I am about. My heart follows love and soul and my music has been inspired from people of all walks of life and musical styles. I view music as a gift that is universal and intended for all of humanity. As a proud New Orleanian, life is about celebrating diversity through music, it’s about bringing people together, not tearing apart.”

Meanwhile Pepper Keenan of Down and Corrosion of Conformity has done or attended hundreds if not over a thousand shows with Phil over decades, including the ones on YouTube where Pepper is standing right next to Phil as Phil (allegedly) says ‘how many Jews are here? Too many.’, calls people faggots, and more. It just seems like Pepper condemning Philip for the salute and screaming ‘white power’ at Dimebash comes too little, too late for any credibility. At this point it’s probably valid to question the integrity of every single person that works with Phil. Absolutely not saying Pepper is a racist or anything, just don’t tell us you are ‘surprised and saddened’ by behavior that a lot of people are pretty sure you are well aware of. It’s like you are calling us stupid.

*****HOUSECORE RECORDS*****

Hello! Contributor B taking over for a chapter!

Housecore Records is owned and maintained by Phil Anselmo. It’s operations apparently reside on his property in Louisiana, USA including merchandise warehouse and recording studio.

A while back a mate sent me a picture in email and said ‘Anselmo is now selling a Swastika clock on his Housecore records shop.’. She sent me this:

I laughed my arse off because I thought is was a joke. Putting the Housecore logo on what ‘appeared’ to be the ‘Swastika clock’ was laying it on too thick and I thought my friend did a hack photoshop job. Months later I got around to looking at the store and there was nothing like it in there. A little time passed, and this Housecore records shirt passes in front of me.

Sure you can see a ‘Swastika’ if you want to (you can also see a hashtag tho)… but when Phil is a guy who ‘sieg heils’ from stage and screams ‘white power’, a shirt like this just isn’t shite.

Out of curiosity I went over to the Housecore store and well there you have it! Found the ‘swastika*’!

*What looks like a swastika and I apologised to my friend for not believing her.

You can get the compact disco too. Housecore logo and everything.

Charlie, in case you aren’t familiar with the imagery and possibly why red vinyl was chosen instead of say, blue:

They may have sold out of the red vinyl but this record is available right now at the Housecore store:

https://housecorerecords.com/collections/christ-inversion

Here is a page selling what it claims is the red vinyl disk above, autographed by Phil Anselmo.

Contributor A back:

It’s less likely that people who don’t want to see this reunion are stupid, maybe they just don’t want to hear or see from a man who sells merchandise with Swastika looking stuff on it? While not calling it a swastika, it’s understandable how somebody might see that as a swastika right? Mix that together with a Nazi looking salutes, a screams that sound like ‘white power’, a joke or comment here or there disparaging Jews, blacks, some gay slurs, I just don’t know Charlie but I just don’t think that we are the stupid ones. Eye of the beholder I guess.

*****PHIL ANSELMO SUBSCRIBES TO WHITE POWER YOUTUBE CHANNEL*****

Very peculiar that these things keep happening to Philip. Again, on the human side of things we don’t know what the deal is here other than Philip never responded to it. The standard is ‘I was hacked’ but we didn’t even get that.

*****CHARLIE MANSON/DIMEBAG’S MURDER*****

Philip H Anselmo over the years has made sure we know that he is a fan of Charles Manson. Philip praises Charles Manson at concerts, he writes about him in songs, he wears an assortment of Manson or “Manson inspired” shirts. Phil Anselmo’s record label Houscore Records has posted about doing a soundtrack for a Manson movie. Phil mentions Manson in at least one Down song and one Superjoint Ritual song. One song even apparently ponders if Manson is really Jesus. That might not be what Philip is saying of course because he’s an artist and his art is open for interpretation. His Housecore ‘Eyes’ logo seems ‘in honor’ or ‘in tribute’ to Charles Manson. Just Google ‘charles manson’s eyes’ to see for yourself, or reference the brown Manson shirt he is wearing above. Here is what comes up for us. There’s even a pic of Phil already included.

Here is a video of Philip praising Charles Manson. When you watch and listen to this video, remember that Philip has inferred (to say the least) to us that he has complete influence or control of his audience.

In this next video from this year, Philip is pushing his Housecore merchandise on us, proudly wearing his ‘Manson tribute’ Housecore shirt. Or what really appears to be a Manson inspired shirt. I guess it’s art so you decide but that is beside the point. Don’t worry, this is all going somewhere.

https://www.facebook.com/housecorerecords/videos/1622061071528579

When Darrell was killed there was a huge buzz about what Phil said about a severe beating and turning Dime into vapor, and was there possibly any connection to Darrell’s murder. It was wrong but people even considered that Phil was in touch with the killer. Phil has done interviews where he says bad things happen to people who cross him and he doesn’t have to lift a finger. He says things like in that video about Manson and shooting people. There’s so much more but over the years, it seems Phil has singled Manson out as some kind of idol to him and Phil has put a lot of effort into associating himself with Manson. In the days following Dime’s murder, the air was thick for at least 2 weeks over was Phil a “Manson” in this murder? and it was a buzz all around the net. Of course he wasn’t but the time was so sad and confusing and angering. It’s unlikely that word of the Manson comparisons didn’t make it to or weren’t apparent it to Phil.

The point is, many people feel that you have to be a special kind of loser to praise serial killers in public, and more, a public you feel you have control over. Many people feel it takes a special kind of loser to wear shirts glorifying a convicted murderer. Many people feel it takes a special kind of loser to wear a shirt with your own face on it. Many people feel it takes a really special type of loser to praise serial killers in public and wear a shirt with your face on it that glorifies a person who was convicted of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for the deaths of seven people and you were once compared with this convicted murderer in the murder of who you tell everybody you loved like a brother. It takes a special kind of loser to not look in the mirror at 55 years old and say ‘maybe it’s time to just time to leave all this serial killer and Manson shit behind’.

While not directly calling anybody a loser, if the shoe fits. So Charlie, Phil is of course free to love serial killers, praise and idolize murderers, wear shirts in tribute to them forever. It doesn’t mean that we are stupid. It’s just on the long list of things we are just so sick of seeing. Charlie can you not start to feel how some people are just ashamed of ever admiring this chap or worse, telling people they admired this chap? A lot of us had to do more than just peel the Pantera sticker off the back of the auto. A lesson learned about talking highly of people you don’t really know.

https://blabbermouth.net/news/dimebag-book-author-says-there-is-no-evidence-killer-was-influenced-by-phil-anselmo-s-words

The link above was added just to show that there was talk. There was discussion of Philip being involved. You would think after that, there would be some serious reflection and somebody might look in the mirror and think “why do people think I’m capable of something like that?” and make adjustments.

Listening to Phil try and talk his way out of this is difficult for many. After all of the apparent lies and changed stories, it’s hard for many to believe him about anything. In the case of this interview Phil is referring to, Rex (in his book) and Vinnie (in a video below) both said that they have the audio file of the interview in question and they did not agree that Phil was ‘joking’ or saying anything ‘tongue in cheek’. If Vinnie has the file and Rex has the file, be sure Phil has it or can get the file and post it to clear his name. Why hasn’t that been done yet Charlie? Because we are stupid?

*****DAVID DUKE PHOTO DUMP*****

We have no context for this photo. This has been on the internet for years. Yes that’s Philip Anselmo and ‘the’ David Duke. A few photos of Duke supplied so you get the idea. Google him for more pics and info. Again, no context. They could have just bumped into each other going in and out of an ice cream parlor.

*****ROSS HALFIN PHOTO*****

We have no context to this photo. Could have just been asking the photographer to bring down the light a little bit, to about that high. Maybe Phil is saying ‘stack the money this high for Charlie so he says yes in 2022.’. We just don’t know.

*****1995*****

Magazine cover from 1995. Charlie, how is it a grown adult who apparently had to defend himself from accusations of being a Nazi on the cover of one of the biggest metal magazines in the world, not draw a line and never go near it again? How do explain him crossing the line time and time again if that’s not what is really in his heart? We are not saying it is in his heart, but it’s a legitimate question. See if you can get the answer to that Charlie. This is what us stupid people have been dealing with. I would like to point out that on this page we are NOT telling you that Philip is a Nazi and we are not saying he’s a racist, homophobic or anything. We don’t know! We are just pointing out all of the things Pantera fans have had to deal with over the years. We aren’t stupid, we just don’t appreciate all the ‘racist bullshit’ that comes with Philip H Anselmo. Again, not saying he’s racist but the subject is always around him and it really appears that he brings it all on himself.

*****SUPERJOINT RITUAL*****

Contributor Threee signing in! Superjoint Ritual is a band of Phil Anselmo’s that had its first major release in 2002.

In reference to the X on PHA’s forehead on the cover of his 2002 release Use Once And Destroy by Superjoint Ritual.

Here: https://www.theroot.com/charles-mansons-race-war-explained-1820607360

‘Manson wanted to start a race war that would finally make white people see how dangerous black people were. The handsome, charismatic man gained a cult following among a gullible group of followers he convinced that blacks were going to start a violent uprising. He convinced his believers that the protests following the death of Martin Luther King Jr. were the beginning of a black movement and that the only way whites could remain in power was by taking control through a race war.’

A few paragraphs down:

“During the murder trials, Manson shaved his head because, he said, ‘I am the devil, and the devil has always had a bald head.’ He then later carved an ‘x’ in his forehead, prompting the members of his cult to show up at court the next day with their own forehead X’s. Manson, never to be outdone, later changed the ‘x’ to a swastika.’

Contributor A back:

Charlie, do you suppose Phil knew Charles Manson had an X on his forehead then changed it to a Swastika? Perhaps a better question is ‘how could he not?’.

The post-Dimebash re-release of Use Once And Destroy has a new cover. No more X on the forehead. Taking the X on the forehead off of there is not an admission of guilt but it is quite noticeable.

Lyrics from the second Superjoint Ritual album titled ‘A Lethal Dose Of American Hatred’.

Song: Stealing a Page or Two From Armed & Radical Pagans

Congregation hear this, know this, the time will come, when we must
Rise; we must be known. We’re clearly heathens, not catholic, not
Christian, not communist, (we’re) barbarians
And dangerous the absolute dark horse
Anti Jesus Christ, no more of the coward muhammeds, extermination of
The catholic guilty (thought suffocation),
Taking no pity on the Jewish elitists
The calling, side ways, undetected, if might is truly right
Joint us, help us, create an army of to rival china, pagans,
Satanists, anarchists, and punks
A heathen’s war lies up ahead.

I’m just asking you Charlie, do we give Phil a pass about ‘Taking no pity on the Jewish elitists’ because Philip includes Christians and Muslims in this song?

Also, people should know there is a relationship between Manson and the word ‘rise’.

https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-news/charles-manson-the-incredible-story-of-the-most-dangerous-man-alive-85235/

‘A chilling, deeply investigative look into the terrifying Manson family … The words DEATH TO PIGS, HELTER SKELTER and RISE were written, again in blood’

With Phil apparently associating himself with Charles Manson so much, it may be worth revisiting some song lyrics to the songs ‘Rise’ and ‘Message in Blood’ yeah? In one of the videos above, it bloody well looks like he is doing a Nazi salute and singing ‘rise’. This is not a coincidence in the eyes of many Charlie.

*****DIMEBAG DARRELL*****

In the Rita chapter below there is a video where Rita said Dime had written Phil off, it also shows Vinnie saying Dime was at an end with Phil over the ‘severe beating’ comments. We have seen the 3 members all say they wouldn’t call a reunion ‘Pantera’ in honor of Dime. We have seen the Vinnie Paul interviews where he said no Dime, no Pantera. To us, Dime was like Elvis, Ace Freley, Eddie Van Halen, all delivered to us in the form of a comedian and more. He was just too great to be true and yet he delivered time and time again. We all got to feel like one of our best mates made it as a rock star and he handled the fame with flair and flare quite literally. Hold your loved ones close and cherish every day with them.

****REX BROWN****

Contributor 4 or D just happy to be here. Rex Rocker’s book completely changed the way I see Pantera and Rex. This isn’t about me tho.

Below are quotes taken from Rex Brown’s autobiography:

“The bottom line is this: Vinnie and Dime had a problem with Phil and me being in Down, and I was the one they went through to bitch about it”

“I was the one getting emails from Vinnie every fucking day, saying, “Philip said this, Philip said that” and then having to listen to Vinnie whining about everything;”

Ok so Vinnie bitches and whines. Right then!

“Dime and I used to fuck him (Vinnie) over so bad it was stupid…..” and Rex goes on to tell a story about Rex and Dime thrashing Vinnie’s car. The story seemed less focused on the fun of joyriding, but more of Rex wanting people to think even Dime didn’t respect his own brother.

“Vince couldn’t drive to save his life”

There was a ski trip and Rex recounts:

“Dime’s brother’s approach was different still: he was a fucking menace to society. His fat form dressed in a ridiculous parka jacket, I’d catch sight of Vinnie out of the corner of my eye, and he’d almost always be plowing through gates, trees, families, leaving all kinds of destruction in his wake. It was like a cartoon and he had no idea how to stop….. “Turn around you fucking idiot!!” I would yell at him…. Crash! He’s on his fat ass again”

“You stand there and they and they pull your ass up the mountain. Sounds easy but guess what? This was an idea that Vince could not grasp and he spent most of the time rolling on the ground like a beached whale…”.

““See you later fat boy” we’d shout as we left him behind, trailing in our wake, pissing him off like hell.”

“As always, something got in the way, and after crushing another family, this fat fuck slams into a hospitality tent full of people.”

And continues:

“Remember, Vinnie didn’t have any kind of style or sense of class, none whatsoever”

“The crew had already had their pick of these girls anyway, and it was just so awkward sitting there watching Vinnie’s pathetic attempts at getting laid.”

“You need to understand that Vinnie is just a strange person- that’s all there is to it…. I think he got his asshole-ishness from his old man…”

“But the truth is that he (Vinnie) only got laid one out of ten times and that is if he was lucky”

“Vinnie created a lot of these problems because he never did anything about anything”

“…..he thought he was funny when he wasn’t, but he was never the kind of guy who’d sit around telling jokes. When he did make one it was usually the dumbest fucking joke you’ve ever heard in your life.”

It’s all there in Rex’s book and everybody is free to go check and make sure that none of it is out of context. Rex put a lot of effort to make Vinnie Paul look as stupid, inept and ridiculous as he possibly could. At one point Rex complimented Vinnie on his drumming but couldn’t even finish the sentence without a slight:

“He was a badass drummer but a complete liability in many other ways, I’ll tell you”

Rex also limited it to drumming, at one point saying Vinnie was a good drummer, but not a good musician.

Contributor A back:

A 48 or 49 year old man stoops to such schoolyard vitriol for the world to see. “Fat ass”, “Beached Whale”, “fat fuck”, “pathetic attempts at getting laid”, “got his assole-ishness from his old man”. Pantera fans who loved Vinnie are supposed to celebrate Rex Brown and pay money to see him? Many Pantera fans are grown up now and are proper adults. While Rex was trying to put Vinnie down, he quite possibly revealed himself to many as the worst kind of toxic person you would ever not want to be around or have the pleasure of doing business with. He had the guts to lay down those insults to Vinnie and later pat himself on the back for ‘always being a stand up guy’. Right then. Rex throwing a childish tantrum undressing Vinnie and then calling himself a stand up guy seems to be the other side of the same coin of Phil doing Nazi salutes and screaming white power and then saying how much it hurts to be called racist.

Vinnie deserves credit for taking the high road knowing that he never has to work with Rex Brown again. Now seeing what Rex is made of, can anyone blame Vinnie for saying ‘never’ on Rex Brown’s behavior alone? Forget Phil and all his baggage for a moment, some wonder just how would a grown adult with any self respect want to work with Rex Brown again after that. Respect to Vinnie and Dime for putting up with those two tossers for as long as they did.

Let us not forget Dime and Vinnie were true brothers. This was their band. Vinnie and Dime brought Rex and Phil and now Rex and Phil are taking the name and cashing it in? After all that’s been said and done?

People who don’t want to see this reunion aren’t stupid. It’s just not pleasant to see Rex trash Vinnie like that, then go on a tour and say it’s in tribute or celebration of Vinnie. With Dime gone, Vinnie was the last living Pantera hero to many. They are proud of Vinnie for taking the high road. Vinnie was the rare rock star that you could get behind and love and support even if you didn’t like his new bands. So Charlie you are going on tour with Anselmo and taking the place of the hero that Rex so thoroughly shite upon. The same person who said there would never be a Pantera without Dime. It takes a special kind of person to turn a blind eye to that. It just might be why you got the call.

*****RITA HANEY*****

She is Dime’s ‘longtime girlfriend’. They weren’t married and she wasn’t the one who the estate was left to when Dime died. It was hers after Vinnie died. Just on appearances, she’s not keeping the level of dignity that Vinnie did when he was alive. Apparently no guitar endorsement deal for the Dime estate for a while now.

https://blabbermouth.net/news/dean-guitars-ceo-accuses-rita-haney-of-making-slanderous-comments-about-him-in-attempt-to-incite-riots-and-death-threats

Rita posted a Rex Brown level of insults towards a former business partner on the front page of the official Dime site (gone now). The appearance seemed to b that Rita wanted to direct angry Pantera fans at the company. After what happened to Darrell, directing angry fans at somebody just seems insane and unconscionable. Rita’s integrity also took a hit with some, back when she posted a picture from Dimebash and let people think that was a bottle of white wine in the picture, the very thing Phil used as an excuse to scream ‘whaite power’. It was recognised by a fan as a bottle of vodka. Rita let that fan make a complete fool of herself on Rita’s Instagram. Rita was all over that post with replies so it’s doubtful that she missed it. It would appear that Rita has zero respect for Dime and Pantera fans.

She let the media believe it too.

While this may seem trivial Charlie, we are pointing out that to many, there apparently just isn’t a single person left in the camp that deserves any amount of respect. Yes that is just an opinion but you can’t call people stupid for having that opinion. Pantera is not what it was, and perhaps it was never was what we thought it was. Many Pantera fans are trying to hold on to something they loved and cherished but you are actively rubbing their faces in the bad, over and over with this reunion.

This page is titled “It Doesn’t Matter If Phil Anselmo Is Racist” because it doesn’t. It’s not worth arguing about. You can’t see what is in his heart but we see what he sings, screams, wears, sells, and everything else he does that “supports the cause” and it appears to not only be a lot, but a sustained effort over decades.

If somebody close to Charlie could have him take a look at this page, that would be great.

WE THOUGHT WE WERE DONE BUT:

Asking for help:

If this was a black security guard, we have already found Phil apparently disparaging Jews, blacks, and gays all on stage with Pepper Keenan who claimed to be “saddened and confused” after Phil’s outburst at Dimebash.
